Davido Signs Deal With Sony Music Global
Year 2016 Started on a rather controversial note for the Nigerian singer Davido, and One Would think that, that Would have been a major distractions and set back on his career, but no, he rather is breaking grounds!
The Laye crooner, Davido a few days ago sealed a Record deal with Sony Music at their headquarters in New York. This record deal is the first of it ’ s kind in decades and provides Davido a huge machine in Sony Music which will help him create , distribute and market his
music at a world class level .
The record deal which was executed by Nigerian raised, American Music Executive Efe Ogbeni ( Grace , Red One)
who is also partners with Nicki Minaj on Parker Ighile ‘ s project , and facilitated by Davido ’ s manager Kamal Ajoboye , is the BIG reason why Davido ’ s sophomore album , The B . A . D . D . E . S . T was pushed back in 2015 .
Present at the signing were Davido , Adewale Adeleke, Efe Ogbeni , Kamal Ajiboye , Joel Katz (Number - One-
ranked entertainment attorney ) and Adam Granite (VP of Sony Music International ).
This is a plus to the Nigerian Music industry and Nigeria at large.
