P Diddy changes his name yet again to LOVE aka ‘Brother Love’

Diddy has announced he’s changing his name AGAIN, and this time it’s to ‘Brother Love.’ The 48-year-old who is celebrating his birthday today made the announcement via a video posted on his Twitter page. Thet’s right, the man we once knew as Puffy Daddy, Puffy, P. Diddy and Diddy wants us to forget all about those names again. How can we complain? He is Diddy, right? Whoops we mean ‘Brother Love’ (It’ll take some getting used to).

In the video, the three-time Grammy award winner, said: ‘Hey y’all. I have some very serious serious news. I’ve been praying on this. I decided that – I know it’s risky and I know it’s corny to some people – but I decided to change my name again.’ Explaining the reason behind the name he said: ‘I’m just not who I am before. I’m something different. Some new name is Love aka Brother Love. I will not be answering to Puffy, Diddy, Puffy Daddy or any of my other monikers but Love or Brother Love.’ There was some mixed reaction from fans, with one fan tweeting: ‘Get off that crack puff plz’

Ouch. Whilst another praised the hip-hop icon and commented: ‘Lol okay I got you down as LOVE OR BROTHER LOVE! This was cute!! I love it Brother LOVE! The world needs so much more love!! Spread it!!’ The legendary rapper, whose real name is Sean Combs, has previously admitted that even he can’t keep up with his name changes. ‘I’ve had different name changes because I only just grew up in a neighborhood where everybody had nicknames,’ he told CNN in a recent interview. ‘My first nickname was Puffy, and then when I was in the music industry it went to Diddy, and then P. Diddy, or was it P. Diddy first? Then Diddy?’

Sean John Combs was called ‘Puff’ growing up and started going by Puff Daddy in 1997. Then only a year later, he returned to using his given name of Sean John. Then in 1999, he flipped the script and went back to Puffy, then he started using P. Diddy professionally and eventually just Diddy.

Some fans may have missed the one week in 2011 where the music mogul went by Swag. In 2014 he confused us some more and used Puff Daddy, yet again, to promote his MMM mixtape project. As of today, in 2017, he is Brother Love. He might want to change his social media handles from ‘Diddy’ to help ease our confusion
